Platinex Inc. is a junior exploration company with interests in exploring for Gold and Platinum Group Elements.
The Company has recently acquired an option to purchase the Nabish Lake Ni-Cu-PGE prospect which overlies most of the Nabish Lake layered intrusion. This is an opportunistic acquisition on which Platinex hopes to be able to make a significant discovery with minimal effort. Widespread mineralization is associated with the intrusion with values up to 3.5% Ni, 6.5% Cu and anomalous levels of PGE. In addition a recent VTEM survey over the intrusion identified several drill-ready, untested EM anomalies believed to be within a feeder dike where the opportunity for accumulation of large Ni-Cu-PGE deposits is enhanced. Platinex has assigned an immediate priority to investigating these anomalies.
The Company’s long term focus is on the highly prospective Shining Tree Gold Property in Northern Ontario. Platinex has expanded the known continuity of the Herrick gold deposit on which 66 drill holes have returned good gold values.
Platinex has announced extremely high gold values (one contained 144 gold grains) in samples of glacial soil occurring along the nine kilometer length of a newly recognized east trending shear zone. The gold anomaly is consistent with and, in many cases, more pronounced than gold anomalies over major gold deposits of current and past producers in Northern Ontario and Quebec. Platinex believes this is the harbinger of a major discovery.
Platinex has a unique $10 million PGE exploration research library covering exploration on 40 large layered intrusions in North America. Discussions are in progress to form a platinum exploration syndicate enabled by outside financing. Two of the PGE properties in Ontario are situated on large layered intrusions including one property on the Ring of Fire intrusion.
Platinex’s management team and board of directors have extensive exploration, mining and business experience.
